Badenoch & Clark is looking for one of his client, european leader in the packaging industry, an EUROPEAN ACCOUNT MANAGER PHARMACEUTICAL H/F.

The purpose of the role is to develop or establish profitable strategic relationships with high value Pharmaceutical customers that benefit from, or require, a holistic account management strategy, creating growth for the business units.
The job holder will actively drive business and manage projects & operational needs in link with Pharmaceuticals and medical devices market in a B2B context.

Key Results/ Accountabilities expected from role:

- Key account, business dev & projects performance :

. Meets strategic business objectives, implements market / customer penetration strategies for area in conjunction with Region and Global Segment
. Developing excellence in Account management
. Developing and implementing an agreed framework for Account management and identifying and qualifying current or future customers to include within this framework
. Generates and drives project pipeline through targeting potential accounts/ new accounts
. Drive the high profit margin and ROI : achieves margin improvement with mix of products

- Marketing and value proposition :

. Identify and be listening of the main drivers and the main technical expectations from the customers
. Improve our range of solutions searching the added value for medical and pharma concept
. Improve with the support of the main plant locally our make or buy strategy for several solutions where partnership should be useful
. Events : Drive any business events (exhibitions, conferences ¡K)

- Leadership & network (internal/external) :
. Internally improve awareness of the medical and pharma concept and value proposition
. Takes the global lead into the region & manages projects from identification of needs, development and commercial close
. Supports local sales people at their customers by providing in depth knowledge of the segment; develops a network within the area to identify and exploit new business opportunities, identifies and manages technical developments in conjunction with site technical functions

Must Have & Key attributes required

. Identify and be listening of the main drivers and the main technical expectations from the customers
. Demonstrated experience (mini 8+ years) of selling supply chain services & packaging solution
. Experience within the TOP 25 in pharmaceutical packaging (corrugated, solid board, flexible, temperature controlled) or alternatively experience in pharmaceutical sales or medical devices (complex and technical products)
. Network & existing key contacts in the TOP 25
. Consultative approach to selling with project management attitude and skills in complex sales. Strong listening, influencing and negotiation skills, external and internal
. Accomplished track record of dealing with clients in the pharma & medical devices sectors as Key account manager
. Excellent navigation & communication skills within a matrix organisation, ability to read others styles, adapt behaviour accordingly whilst considering cultural differences.
. Ability to work under pressure and strict deadlines
. Location closed to key decision makers of customers
. Proven track record in developing new accounts (Establish & maintain client relationships, tenders, effective communicator, hardworking, drive, hungry for success)
. Fluency in English (another language should be a +)
